Throughout my 15+ years in the design industry I have worked on a very diverse range of projects, from design for print and digital media to large scale exhibition design. I believe strongly in creating design with substance, with a strong idea at it’s core – using the power of visual communication to tell a story and evoke an emotional response.

Designer Brand Habitat Sutherland Sydney

In this role I transferred my graphic design skills into the world of 3D design, learning new skills, sketching and render programs to design and bring to life exhibition stands for conferences and events. 

  • Client facing role, designing and project managing exhibition stands.
  • New 3D skills including SketchUp and Artlantis rendering software.
  • Graphic design for large format print on exhibition stands.
  • Responsible for the overall branding and marketing for the company.

I really enjoyed the diversity of projects that this role had to offer, working within a creative, collaborative team.

  • A dynamic environment working on a large range of design projects for print and digital including branding, marketing material, brochures, websites, advertising, packaging and large format print.
  • Managing time across many projects that are running in parallel from brief to production-ready artwork and liaising with Account and Print Managers to ensure a smooth transition to production.
  • Working alongside a small, creative team of designers and responsible for guiding the junior designers within our team.
  • Responsible for projects from initial brief, through all stages of design development to final art.

Senior Graphic Designer Barlow Doherty Creative London UK

I am one of those people who always chooses wine by the design of the label, so I was delighted to join the team at this wine design agency for my final 18 months in London.

  • Design of packaging and communication material for the wine industry, including wine label design, brand development, point of sale items, advertising and promotional material.
  • Working within a small energetic team with an emphasis on creating wine labels and supporting material that not only looked beautiful, but also created a strong personality for the product.
  • Taking projects from initial research, conceptual sketches and round-the-table discussions, through intensive development stages to preparing production ready artwork.
  • Exceptional typography and attention to detail was given critical importance at Barlow Doherty – this allowed me to sharpen and develop my skills in both of these areas.
  • Responsible for art direction of outsourced services including photographic shoots, illustration and web development.
